Tree Removal

Safe tree removal, big or small

Whether it's a towering gum hanging over the house or a dead tree you just want gone, we remove it safely and methodically. For tight blocks we dismantle the tree in sections and rope the pieces down, so nothing lands where it shouldn't. Our cherry picker and rigging let us work confidently around roofs, fences, pools and powerlines.

  • Sectional dismantling for tight or built-up sites
  • Hardwoods, gums, pines and dead or dangerous trees
  • Full green-waste removal and clean-up included

Tree Lopping & Pruning

Lopping & pruning that keeps trees healthy

Plenty of people search for "tree lopping" when what they really want is a good prune. We'll happily reduce height and clearance, but we do it the right way, pruned to Australian Standard AS 4373 so your tree stays strong and looks natural rather than butchered. Crown thinning, dead-wooding, lifting low limbs off the roof or clearing the powerlines, we shape it to last.

  • Crown thinning, reduction and dead-wooding
  • Clearance from roofs, gutters and powerlines
  • Pruned to AS 4373, no harmful topping

Stump Grinding

Stumps ground out, gone for good

A leftover stump is a trip hazard, a mower-wrecker and a magnet for termites and regrowth. We grind stumps to around 250 to 300mm below the surface so you can re-turf, replant or build over the spot. Going deeper for paving or foundations is no problem, just tell us what you've got planned. Our tracked grinder fits through standard gates for those awkward backyard stumps.

  • Ground 250–300mm below surface as standard
  • Single stumps or full yards, tight access welcome
  • Grindings backfilled or removed, your choice

Palm Removal & Cleaning

Palm removal & frond clean-ups

Palms look great until the dead fronds, nuts and seed pods start dropping all over the yard and into the gutters. We remove palms of any height, or just give them a clean-up and trim, then chip and cart everything away. No mess left behind, no half-rotten fronds in the green bin for weeks.

  • Full palm removal or a tidy-up and trim
  • Dead fronds, nuts and seed pods cleared
  • Everything chipped and removed

Emergency & Storm

Emergency & storm-damage call-outs

Brisbane storms don't keep business hours, and neither does a tree on your roof. We respond to fallen trees, split trunks, hung-up limbs and dangerous leaners, making the situation safe and clearing the damage. If a tree is threatening people or property, call us and we'll do our best to get out fast. A quick safety note: never go near fallen powerlines, call emergency services or Energex first.

  • Fallen trees and storm damage made safe
  • Hanging limbs and dangerous leaners removed
  • Fast response across the Northside

Land Clearing & Mulching

Block clearing, mulching & green-waste removal

Overgrown blocks, neglected fence lines, scrubby corners and post-storm chaos, we'll clear it out and chip it down. Great before a build, a sale or just to win your yard back. We can mulch on site and leave the chip for your garden beds, or take the lot away. Whatever the size, you'll get a fair price and a clean finish.

  • Overgrown blocks, fence lines and garden clean-ups
  • On-site mulching, chip left or carted away
  • Green waste recycled where possible
Questions & answers

Tree work in Brisbane, explained

Straight answers on cost, council rules, insurance and what to expect. If your question isn't here, just ask.

It depends on the tree and where it is. Brisbane City Council protects certain vegetation under the Natural Assets Local Law and through City Plan overlays and Vegetation Protection Orders. If your tree is protected, you generally need a permit before any work, even on your own property. Many common backyard trees aren't protected. The honest answer is to always check first, and we're happy to check the City Plan mapping for your address as part of the quote so you know where you stand.

The most reliable way is to check Brisbane City Council's City Plan online mapping tool against your address, which shows any vegetation overlays or protection orders, or phone Council on 07 3403 8888. As a rule of thumb, mature native trees, bushland and trees in waterway or biodiversity overlay areas are more likely to be protected. We can check the mapping on your behalf before any work starts.

Every tree is different, so a fair quote needs a quick look at the job or a few photos. The main things that drive the price are the tree's height and trunk size, the species (dense hardwoods like gums take longer than soft timber or palms), how close it is to houses, fences, powerlines or pools, access for our gear, and how much green waste needs removing. You'll get a clear fixed price up front with no surprises.

Stump grinding is usually priced separately from removal. It comes down to the stump's diameter, the species and how hard the timber is, the spread of the roots, soil conditions, and access. A single small stump in an open yard is quick and cheap; large-diameter or multiple stumps in tight spots cost more. We're happy to quote stump grinding on its own or bundle it with a removal.

Yes. Tree work is high-risk, so we carry current public liability insurance to protect your property, your neighbour's property and the public while we work. We're glad to provide a certificate of currency on request before the job. We'd always encourage you to confirm insurance with any tree company you consider.

As a standard we grind stumps to roughly 250 to 300mm below ground level, which is deep enough to lay turf, replant a garden bed or landscape over the area. If you're planning a new structure, paving or foundations, we can grind deeper on request. Just let us know what you have in mind and we'll grind to suit.

As standard we chip the branches on site and take the mulch and timber away as part of the clean-up. If you'd like the wood chip left for your garden beds, we're usually happy to leave some or all of it at no extra cost. Larger logs can often be cut to firewood lengths and left if you want them. Green waste we remove is recycled into mulch where possible.

Always. A full clean-up is included as standard. We chip and remove branches, rake up debris and leave the site tidy. If you've asked us to grind the stump, we'll backfill the grindings or remove them, whichever you prefer. Our aim is to leave your yard cleaner than we found it.
